About Genial Picnic
The project began with the ambition of two entrepreneurial women, Fátima Moura and Teresa Santos, both with a close connection to the area of gastronomy and tourism. They intended to innovate the concept of traditional picnics, and transform them into a “showcase of local gastronomy, different for each municipality and each region”. Without neglecting, obviously, the environmental and sustainable aspect. Which is why each picnic can be transported in a reusable Kraft paper backpack, thus avoiding the typical basket.
Although the project began in Alto Alentejo, it currently covers the map of Portugal, with a network of local partners, carefully chosen by the founders.
In addition to picnics, they also hold business and social events, such as birthday parties, baptisms and weddings.

Genial Picnic was looking for a fast and intuitive ecommerce environment, with integration of a booking system, instead of the platform it used. At the same time, it intended to present the content in an attractive way, reinforcing the brand’s presence, and with a dynamic navigation and experience.
On the other hand, they were also looking for a partner that would allow them to quickly scale the business, given the timeline of objectives.
As such, an online store was created, adapted for mobile devices, which also included a blog. Furthermore, several widgets were introduced in the online store, which are fully editable. This allows the Genial Picnic team to change content autonomously, without the intervention of a developer.

A brand with more than 135 years, with artisanal manufacturing in Portugal, and which is a reflection of excellence and authenticity, in the range of bath and body products, home fragrances, and lifestyle.
Claus Porto is present in more than 60 countries, being a global reference, and synonymous with luxury, in its product portfolio, especially in soaps.
The Challenge
– Prices and stock not always updated automatically;
– Promotional codes assigned, but offer is not reflected;
– Difficulty in monitoring (reliably) conversions from paid advertising;
– Some friction associated with the consumer purchasing journey.

With an excellent product offering and a wide variety of customers, Claus Porto intended to refine the monitoring of online store conversions.
Due to the transition from Google Analytics Universal to Google Analytics 4, some challenges arose with the previously configured events. In order to unify and monitor the record of conversions, it was necessary to review and adjust the tracking platforms. Firstly, the events intended for monitoring were surveyed, in order to transform them into relevant insights. Next, the conversion APIs were reconfigured, which record data relating to the origin, checkout step, leads, etc. Finally, the customer journey was optimized, with the implementation of significant improvements in terms of customization of the offer.
Claus Porto now has total control over conversions and the most relevant resources for sales, easily managing all online store operations.

Not every business is an online product store
When people hear about ecommerce and online product store, the vast majority believe that the two terms are synonymous. But, what if we tell you that they are not?! Exactly, it is possible for your business to sell online without necessarily being an online store, and in that case, the shopping cart is not even necessary.
In this article, we will talk about the possibility for businesses to sell online, without being an online product store. And we’re also going to tell you how one of our clients grew by more than, 7 times more, in just 6 months, after digitizing his business.
Let’s start by clarifying each term, ecommerce and online product store: the first one, refers to all processes of operating an online business, while the second term, refers to the online purchase and sale of goods and services online.
Since each business has its specificities and target, not all businesses are or have to be an online product store, although they could also sell online!

How to generate revenue?

As you can see, in this case the shopping cart would just be an extra step, not really being a requirement for the conclusion of the purchase. Although, in some businesses, it makes perfect sense to have a shopping cart and all the flow associated with it. Especially when it comes to websites with a wide range of products.
But let’s focus on ecommerce, which don’t need to be exactly an online product store. By having direct purchase pages, you can prepare and present a text with more emotion and persuasion, reaching out to your target audience (your online community) in an increasingly humane and customized way. And thus, our client adjusts the products to their community, highlighting the benefits they will have, through a clear and totally customized language.
But let’s get to the point…

Given the data collected and handled by the Germano de Sousa Group, the developed platform provides information that supports more thoughtful and informed decisions. And, in the field of laboratory medicine, precision is a requirement, and this is reflected in the rapid machine learning, increasingly adapted to the reality of the laboratory and pathologies.
Given the fact that the company operates at a national level (Mainland Portugal and Islands), it was crucial to share information between clinics, not forgetting, of course, the privacy of its patients. A project conceived and developed completely in-house, from M.V.P, through technological implementation, to marketing and sales.
The platform had to meet the needs of the industry, reflecting the terminologies, flows, and working methodologies of each law firm, from the freelance attorney to the firm that operates worldwide. As it is an industry that deals with such sensitive topics, some of the project requirements were clear, cybersecurity, data encryption and secure document sharing via the cloud. Due to Onjuris’ high scalability, and the team allocated to the project, technologies such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, smart contracts, among others, can be quickly and easily implemented.
We also had the collaboration and contribution of some Lawyers, when holding a focus group to collect feedback and hold meetings.

This was a disruptive and very challenging project, and it was very important for the customer that the online store reflect the brand’s values and ideals. It was clear from the start that BigCommerce was the most suitable solution for this project!
As they market and ship their products to more than 30 countries (inside and outside the European Union) and each online store has to be adapted, we’ve also made this process faster and more efficient.
Communication between the two teams, PipeCodes and Bond Touch, was always regular, and we were lucky to have all the support and help from the Bond Touch team during all stages of the process, and in this way, we guarantee the fulfillment of all the requirements and deadlines defined for the project.
